The Cincinnati Reds are expected to finalize a one-year contract with right handed pitcher Jared Burton in order to avoid arbitration says a source close to MLB.com’s Mark Sheldon. Burton made $810,000 last season. Terms of the new deal are not yet known.

The Cincinnati Reds will tender offers to all six elegible players according to Cincinnati Enquirer’s John Fay. The six elegible players are Joey Votto, Jay Bruce, Bill Bray, Edinson Volquez, Johnny Cueto and Jared Burton.
Fay adds that the Reds can’t offer Burton more that 20% less than the $810,000 he made last year.
