    According to the Pacific Coast League transaction page, the Oakland Athletics signed right-handed pitcher Jamey Wright and assigned him to Triple-A Sacramento. Wright was released by the Cleveland Indians last week. The right-hander was 1-2 with a 5.48 ERA in 18 appearances this year.  Opponents were hitting .294 against him.

    According to Buster Olney of ESPN, the Cleveland Indians have released Mark Grudzielanek and Jamey Wright.
